Privacy Policy

Purrfect Habit is designed to be a private, gentle habit tracker. This policy explains what the app does with information created while you use it.

The short version

Purrfect Habit does not require an account. Your habits, check-ins, streaks, sticker progress, and preferences are stored on your device. Meta and OpenAI receive limited app event information to measure app installs and advertising performance. Meta's app settings enable IDFA collection and automatic App Store purchase, subscription, and trial events. IDFA access depends on iOS tracking authorization and Meta SDK behavior.

Information stored in the app

When you create or use a habit, the app stores the information you enter or generate in the app, such as habit names, goals, schedules, completion history, notes, preferences, and achievement progress. This information is stored locally using Apple’s on-device storage.

Notifications

If you choose to turn on reminders, Purrfect Habit asks for notification permission and uses it only to schedule reminders on your device. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings. We do not receive notification content or reminder activity.

Widgets

If you add a Purrfect Habit widget, the app stores a small snapshot of the information needed to display it in the app’s shared on-device storage. This remains on your device.

Exports and backups

You can choose to export or back up your data. Exported or backup files are created only when you initiate that action and are handled through the iOS file-sharing interface you select. You control where those files are saved or shared.

App events and advertising measurement

Purrfect Habit uses Meta’s iOS SDK and an OpenAI ads tracker for app-install measurement. When the app becomes active, Meta receives an activation event and technical app/device information needed to process it. Meta uses the first activation to measure an install; later activations may include app session timing. On first launch, the OpenAI tracker sends a one-time app-installed event with a random event ID and timestamp. Meta's current app settings enable collection of the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) through App Events and automatic logging of in-app purchases, subscriptions, and trial events processed through the App Store. Meta's separate general automatic event logging setting is Unspecified. IDFA access depends on iOS tracking authorization and Meta SDK behavior. Meta also notes that its SDK may automatically collect IDFA when the app is running or has run mobile app ads in the previous 28 days. Meta and OpenAI process information they receive under their own privacy policies: Meta Privacy Policy and OpenAI Privacy Policy.

Delete your data

Purrfect Habit does not create an account or store your habit data on our servers. To delete habits, check-ins, and stickers stored on your device, open the app’s Settings, choose Delete All Data, and confirm Delete All. This deletion is permanent. Exported or backup files that you saved or shared separately must be deleted from the location where you saved them. App event information already received by Meta or OpenAI is handled under their respective privacy policies.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or health data. Meta event reporting does not include your habit names or completion history. The app does not request iOS tracking permission; Meta's IDFA collection setting and the availability of IDFA are described above. We do not sell personal information. Your habit data remains stored on your device.

Children’s privacy

Purrfect Habit does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The app event information described above may be processed by Meta and OpenAI when the app is used.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Purrfect Habit after the update means you accept the updated policy.
